A white roadster flipping through the air above a cloud of smoke at night

Skyflip is a free 3D stunt game that runs in your browser. You drive a roadster up an inverted ramp, launch into the air, flip, and try to land on all four wheels. This page covers the controls, how scoring works and the tips that matter most.

Controls

Desktop: use the left and right arrow keys (or A and D) to tilt the car. Hold Space (or the up arrow, or W) to fire the thrusters. Press Enter or Space to start.

Phone and tablet: use the two round arrow buttons at the bottom left to tilt, and the THRUST button at the bottom right to fire the thrusters. Play in landscape for the best view.

The run, step by step

1. Press Launch. The car climbs the inverted ramp while a short countdown runs.
2. At the end of the countdown you are released into the air.
3. Tilt to flip, and watch your air tank. The thrusters use it up, so don't waste it.
4. Hold thrust to brake your fall and hover, then level the car out before touching down.
5. Land wheels first, then keep going and clear the parked vehicles ahead.

Scoring

Your score grows with the distance you travel. On top of that you earn bonuses: 150 points for every full flip you complete before a landing, 50 points for a clean landing after a longer hang time, and 100 points for each parked vehicle you clear. Clearing a vehicle also tops up your air tank a little. Your best score is saved in your own browser only.

Tips

Start with one flip and get the landing right before chasing more. Level out early: a landing at a steep angle ends the run. Save some air for the landing, because braking with thrust is what lets you touch down gently. Taller vehicles such as pickups and trucks need more height, so stay in the air a little longer as the run gets harder.

Why did my run end?

There are two ways to wipe out. You can hit a parked vehicle, or you can land off-angle instead of wheels first. The game over screen tells you which one it was.
